The Majik Jack Band was started back in the 90's as a variety band that was capable of playing any style of music. Rock & Roll, 50's & 60's, Funk, Country, Swing, Blues, this band can play it.
The current members of the band are:

A HISTORY OF THE MAJIK JACK BAND
The original members of the band were:

Lisa Marie------keys/bass & vocals

Majik Jack has performed in the Louisville, Kentuckiana regional area for over 15 years. From it's inception to the present, Majik Jack has performed in just about every conceivable venue, from the bar venues, large indoor & outdoor concert venues, along with weddings and other casual engagements.
Besides playing their own shows Majik Jack also serves as a backup band for various artists and is currently providing back up for Charmaine Grimes and for Country Music Star & 2004 Independent Grammy Award Nominee FOXX of Night Vixen Entertainment of the Stardust Records of Nashvuille label. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=34294
Over time Majik Jack has evolved and the members have changed along with this evolution. Other musicians passing thru the line up of Majik Jack have been:

As a result of collaborating with Guitarist/Vocalist Mike Perry of The M R 2 BLUE Band, Majik Jack and M R 2 BLUE have formed a musical partnership over the years allowing for the growth and evolution of both bands.
Currently Mark Barnes and Greg Roy of Majik Jack also perform with Mike Perry as the M R 2 BLUE Band. And in that same spirit of collaboration Mike Perry of M R 2 Blue also performs with Majik Jack when the venue requires it.
M R 2 BLUE is basically a blues trio and is sometimes joined by Dave Scoggin on harp. As a blues band M R 2 is not only versed in playing the blues but also is a top notch show band. Mark & Mike play their instruments with their teeth, behind their backs, play each other's instruments, anything they can do within reason to bring the house down. An extremely entertaining band, with 3 part harmony, they also can play a wide variety of music besides the blues.
M R 2 BLUE is currently made up of these 3 musicians:

Greg Roy------percussion, vocals
Mark Barnes---bass/guitar, vocals
Both bands play within the Louisville, Kentucky regional area. Musicians in these bands have performed in various venues from the small clubs to arena and outdoor festival concerts. We have performed as warm up to headliners such as John Lee Hooker, Jimmie Vaughn, Marcia Ball, NRBQ, and others.
Some venues have hired both bands for their
festival events, utilizing M R 2 to entertain with their blues sets and allowing Majik Jack to perform their variety
music at the same concert setting.
The current members of both bands are also for hire as independent sidemen. Mark Barnes can be hired for gigs covering bass or guitar, lead and backup vocals. David Knight can be hired covering bass, keyboards, or guitar, lead and backup vocals. Greg Roy can be hired as a percussionist, and lead or backup vocals. Mickey Bishop can be hired as a lead or backup vocalist.
